Please reach us at support@ydvault.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
How many different bank accounts do you have? Who is your power of attorney? What is your end of life plan? When a life altering event occurs, where is all of this crucial information? Even if you know the answer to all these questions, do your loved ones? Having your important contacts, assets, commitments, and documents stored in one place eases the process of locating necessary information after a life altering event.
Yes. With Your Digital Vault (YDVault), you can capture all of your contacts, assets, commitments, and important documents and simply store them in one convenient place available to access at home or on the go. Your personal Digital Vault captures your intentions for selected beneficiaries upon your passing and guides them to the information they need.
Yes! We designed Your Digital Vault to protect data as if it were our own. Our application development and infrastructure teams are following NIST CSF and our service provider is FEDRAMP certified.
Only you will be able to unlock your vault with encrypted recovery keys and we do not store or save your password. Your Digital Vault offers a secure online repository- ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of your stored data.
You are the only person who has access to Your Digital Vault. Your Digital Vault employees only have access to your user profile, they do not and will never have access to your assets, commitments, or documents.
Upon signing up with YDVault, you are given eight recovery keys. These keys must be downloaded and saved. If a password is lost or forgotten you will need to use one of your recovery keys (each key is a one time use, once it is used it is gone). Once using a recovery key you will be asked to create a new password. This is the only way to access Your Digital Vault in the case of a lost or forgotten password. No YDVault employee is able to access your vault or reset your password.
Once a life altering event has been confirmed, YDVault will release the primary user’s account information to the assigned delegates per the primary’s instructions. (See question below for detailed information).
In the case of a life altering event, one of the delegates you have assigned, can contact YDVault on their delegate account to report this event to us. Upon receiving a report of a life altering event, an employee will attempt to contact the primary user as the first step in verifying this event. Given we do not receive a response from the account owner, our team will contact each delegate to confirm the event and request verification (i.e. death certificate).
We have a 6 step process to confirm a life altering event:
No. The process of creating and uploading your information is not a lengthy task. We designed the onboarding process to be smooth and user-friendly. Our site allows you to add as much or as little information at a time, making it as convenient as possible for you.
